Permission to Pause can be a semester OR year-long pastoral care program designed to support school leaders through the real pressures of leadership. It runs quietly alongside the school term and offers a safe, confidential space to pause, reflect, and be supported — without fixing, performing, or being evaluated. No travel required.
What Does It Entail:
Confidential, facilitated sessions online where leaders can speak freely, be cared for, and reset their internal compass — without judgement or performance pressure.

Why Is Leadership Care Necessary?
School leaders are entrusted with the care of entire communities.
They lead complex organisations, carry confidential and emotionally charged responsibilities, and are expected to remain steady under constant pressure. While much attention is rightly given to student and staff wellbeing, the wellbeing of leaders themselves is often addressed only when a problem arises.
National research and lived experience now point to the same conclusion: leadership care can no longer be reactive or optional.
Sustainable school leadership requires intentional, preventative support that recognises principals and leaders as people, not just role-holders. Permission to Pause responds to this need by offering structured, pastoral care that strengthens leaders quietly, consistently, and without adding to their workload.
Costs
- Semester (15 sessions): $1,500 per leader | School licence for 2 leaders: $2,700 | 3+ leaders: $1,350 per person
- Full year (30 sessions): $2,750 per leader | Discounted school licence rates available
- Duration 20 weeks (15 sessions)
- N.B: GST not applicable – supplier not registered for GST.
